Actor Actress

Actor Actress Biography.
Actors are one of the most generally used objects in Unreal. Working with an actor of your own creation will allow you do to some cool tricks. One of the most basic tricks is assigning and working with materials. Of course like with the meatcube we can create a basic object assign properties and drop them into the scene and change some of the properties.

As we have seen however, we can set those properties using the defaultproperties{} at the end of the file. However that just attaches things to our placeable actor. The class we wrote can’t actually interact with the object that was attached to it.

To clarify, just because we used “Components.Add(SkeletalMeshComponent0);” doesn’t mean that we can actually do anything with that added object. It’s just there, doing what its going to do on its own, and we have no specific control over that object.

So, how do we talk to the objects we added?

First we need to learn a bit about how a class is put together.
