Eva Amurri

Eva Amurri Biography

Eva Amurri was born on March 15, 1985 in New York City. She grew up in a household of Hollywood royalty, including her Italian filmmaker dad Franco Amurri, actress mom Susan Sarandon, step-father actor/director Tim Robbins, TV writers aunt Valentina Amurri and grandfather Antonio Amurri. Eva is of Welsh and Italian descent.
Amurri began working alongside her mom and former step-dad Tim Robbins in films at age 7. Starting on the 1992 political satire “Bob Roberts,” Eva Amurri continued to appear in the 1995 award-winning movie “Dead Man Walking,” the 1999 coming-of-age drama “Anywhere but Here,” and the 1999 made-for-TV crime drama “Earthly Possessions.” In 2001, she and her mom also made a guest appearance on the hit TV sitcom “Friends.”
In 2002, Eva Amurri gained notice for her role on the comedy “The Banger Sisters.” Although she still worked alongside her mom and Goldie Hawn on the film, her role as a privileged teenager brought most of the laughs, which led to a Young Artist Award for “Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actress.”
By 2003, Eva Amurri began accepting projects on her own. She appeared on the 2004 reality-TV satire “Made-Up,” and the black comedy “Saved!” Determined to be her own person, Eva chose to attend Brown University and pursue Italian studies. After graduating in 2007, Amurri continued her work on films, beginning with the Uma Thurman drama “The Education of Charlie Banks” and thriller “The Life Before Her Eyes.”
In 2008, Eva Amurri reunited with her mother Susan Sarandon for the comedy film “Middle of Nowhere.” That same year, she had a supporting role on the horror flick “Animals.” Other recent work of Eva Amurri include guest appearances on TV shows “House M.D.” and “Mercy,” a recurring role on the TV series “Californication,” and roles on movies such as the 2009 drama “New York, I Love You,” and TV-movie “Possible Side Effects” and a starring role on the 2011 thriller movie “Isolation.”
