Namitha Biography

Namitha born on May 10th in Mumbai is the new sensational star in south Indian film industry. She is a Gujarati by birth but she entered films through Tollywood after her appearance in Miss India contest. With her attractive body, glamour, acting talents and looks Namitha has conquered the hearts of Tamil and Telugu film fraternity. Even if her films “Sontam” and “Gemini” didn’t fare well at the box office she succeeded to grab the attention of Tollywood. Her first hit was Tamil film “Engal Anna”. Malayalam film director Siddhique introduced Namitha. Namitha is at the top of the charts with huge fan base down the south.
Namitha the glamour queen of Tamil filmdom is all set to storm Kannada film industry also. Her latest Kannada movie, ‘Neelakanda’ is said to be a hit and she has been offered a film in Kannada with young hero Darshan. Namitha is shortly planning to enter Malayalam films. Namitha has bagged a film opposite Sundar C named ‘Perumal’ and ‘Azhagiya Tamizh Magan’ with Vijay. Namitha also has ‘Billa 2007’ with Ajit and ‘Kettavan’ with Simbu, both super heroes of Tamil. Her latest film in Tamil ‘Njan Avanillai’ is a hit. Namitha recently had an altercation with Parthiban for the poor script of Tamil film ‘Pachakuthirai’ where she was portrayed as just a glamour doll.
Namitha, after a long break is acting in two Telugu movies “Nayakudu” with Rajasekhar and “SP Nayak” with Arjun. She also appeared in an English film named ‘Maya’ directed by Eric Manning. The most versatile actress of South India, Namitha shows good commitment and professionalism too in all her movies.
